All I Do

All I do is love you in some never ending quest,
And carry you inside this heart that tells me you’re the best.
It’s sad that love’s impossible; you live too far from me-
But when I tell this too my heart it only says, “We’ll see.”

The time has flown so quickly by, forever and a day,
It seems as though I’ve always felt and always will this way.
Just simple conversations yet because they are with you,
They never end and loving you is all I ever do.

I’m not alone, for even when I get in to my bed
I lie there with a precious tape of poetry you read.
And drift off in to dream land with your love right in my hand,
And whisper from my heart, “I love you,” glad you understand.

The loneliness is haunting, so I turn to other friends,
But only for a while and I am never sad it ends.
For they have competition that there’s no way they could beat.
My heart can only love you and will not accept defeat.

All I do is think of you through every day and night,
And you’re the love in every word of poetry I write.
With every deed of kindness that God’s grace will let me give,
All I do is love you, and for me that is to live.
