Reach Up upon those thermals fly Home away from home- the sky Bless me with your lonesome cry Eagle in your flight. Stay aloft beyond our view Let not man cause harm to you Looking down on what we do Not a pleasant sight. Symbol of the brave and free Just a dream if you ask me No resemblance I can see Difference day and night. Instinct does your freedom shield When to soar and when to yield Truth only to you revealed We don�t get it right. Freedom is your state of mind What we only wish to find Fault of all this human kind Holding on too tight. Still we pray your influence Graces man when he repents Our potential reach for sense Draws us to your height. John H. Bidwell �

John the rhyme and cadence is superb in this
splendid poem. Sadly some of the negativity
is too true.

I love Eagles they are so powerful their flight is so full and wonderful to view especially in the mountains amongst evergreens and mountaintops this poem is so beautiful its descriptions are excellent. Expression is very poetic:)
