Now

Now that I’ve seen you, laughed and touched your hand,
I won’t forget you make me understand.
I could not see the forest through the trees,
But seeing you has put me on my knees.

I heard your words, “The future would be bright.”
But all I saw was first would be the night,
A long dark night I didn’t want to face,
But waiting is the price to pay for grace.

So as my mind brings pictures back to me
Of looking in your eyes, oh what I see-
If this can be the promise surly fate
Will lend a hand in helping me to wait.

The lesson I must learn-that letting go
Is not the end of love that I will know.
For all the times that you were waiting too
The least that I can do is wait for you.

And that is what I’m doing, waiting now,
And God will get me through this pain somehow.
I’ve always loved you. I will count this pain
As more than I had ever hoped to gain.

the pain means you are at least feeling something...not much consolation but sometimes it is the only thing good to come out of sadness...very nice

Now all I need is the love to live...and the will to love!!
