Thanks for being beautiful-
As if you had a choice.
Still- every time I look at you
I somehow lose my voice.

It may not be that everyone
Can see you in this way-
But I just look, and tears will fall-
I won’t know what to say.

It’s always been like this you know-
I speak of nothing new.
I learned the truth so long ago-
That beautiful is you.

Time keeps marching right along
And age may try its hand-
But I will just see beautiful-
I hope you understand.

It’s all about what love can do
And what it lets me see.
Just thanks for being beautiful
The way you are to me.
