Snow
Sitting here
I watch the snow
Will it go?
I cannot know
I cannot see
The bitter cold
But it is so
Or so I'm told
I stay inside
Myself to hide
And see the cold
I feel so old
The wind does blow
And ebbs and flows
And drifting snow
Goes to and fro
In shifting light
Now dark now bright
Now fast now slow
Its quite a show
But not for me
The frozen scene
I sit serene
Like summer’s dream
It is just so
I watch the snow
Before the fire’s
Golden glow
