Tomorrow’s Credit

Days turn to night,
night turns to tomorrow,
tomorrow’s dreams are bright,
but everything is just borrowed.

Living life like it’s a credit card,
what we don’t have, we spent,
reality is, that, it’s really hard,
for the rules just never bend.

Finding joy from the past,
brings both pleasure and pain,
but knowing it will never last,
in panic trying to stay sane.

Living in the memory of yesterday,
while missing the here and now,
things come and go, but never stay,
no time to stop and wonder why.

Captivated world in which we live,
waits for no one upon the path,
learning to accept that what it gives,
or face the terror of it’s wrath.
