Freedom Of Flight


Birds soaring, sky of blue,
so carefree, diving all about,
one with nature, presence true ,
gliding passively never to shout.

Mankind, wanders this earth,
consumed in warring pain,
a constant struggle since birth,
striving, never making any gain.

Complexity is society’s curse,
overshadowing basic needs,
it really could be a lot worse,
hearts hearing the silent pleads.

Spirits enslaved transform to rage,
freedom of flight is all we desire,
lost in greed, played out on stage,
clashing, setting our hearts on fire.

The placidity of birds in flight,
enjoying, nature’s inner peace,
finding serenity in the light,
spiritual rapture of a new lease.
