Reflection


All alone in the dark,
facing emotional fears,
not a walk in the park,
crying out one’s tears.

A time for reflection,
of who we really are,
without the deception,
looking near and a far.

Silence sings so loud,
when the truth is told,
one’s mind in a cloud,
standing tall and bold.

Facing our mortal soul,
what we did or didn’t do,
forever paying the toll,
beneath the sky of blue.

Liable for one’s self,
for in the final end,
the meaning of wealth,
lies in a true friend.
