Thanksgiving Thoughts


Time to give thanks to the Lord above,
remembrance of the gifts He bestowed,
sharing moments with those you love,
a great deal of life to cherish and behold.

Taking it all for grant it, every single day,
caught up in the busy life style we live,
not realizing until tragedy takes it away,
discovering pleasure in the things we give.

Thanksgiving comes but once every year,
a special day spent with family and friends,
a time of happiness, love, and good cheer,
to celebrate life’s goodness before it ends.

A festivity of life and joy even in the rain,
thoughts of felicity for a better tomorrow,
time to move from our suffering and pain,
only have each other, but time is borrowed.

On this day in the land of the Brave and Free,
let us each be thankful as we travel life’s path,
for family, friends, in a land that allows us to be,
knowing well, this day like all others, will pass.
