“TO BE”

Have you ever noticed a young child growing,
the innocents, the beauty of simply being,
the essences of life, without even knowing,
the wonders that unfold, giving meaning.

Look upon a flame, colors so bright,
a tree with it’s branches waving in the breeze,
the simplicity of nature, all that is right,
from the warmth of the sun, the cold of a freeze.

A grain of sand, the rock upon the ground,
water of blue so crystal clear,
there is no mystery, it’s all around,
yet we can not see, we do not hear.

The magnificence of mother nature’s glory,
is in our presence, it’s in our sight,
if only we would stop and heed the true story,
we too, could capture the truth within the night.

To be, just what we are, is asking a lot,
yet nature intended us to simply be that way,
we complicate our lives to be what we’re not,
if only we could be like a child for just a day.
