Silent tears

   She saunters around with gardenias in her hair...


    hips gently swaying to music not there,


     coyly she watches the man on her couch...


     her inner most being wishes him out.


 


      Ritual in motion she cannot turn back...


      job skills elude her she must perform in the sack,


      her kind words and fraudulent gestures...


      conceal every scene...


       Academy award granted, her performance keen.


 


       Inside her mind are cities...


        with understandable walls,


        tears wash her face...


        awaiting the next "john's" call.
