You came.
Like a thunderstorm into my world.
Wild and Chaotic.
Passion beating against my heart with
the breathless wonder of torrential rain.
Blinding me with lightning bolts of inspirational beauty.
I could never have the sense to run from the awe inspiring
power of your imminent presences.
The dark ominous clouds of your realities.
But rather, I stand in the center of your storm,
spinning in a whimsical trance.
Letting the wild rain of our tears drench me in
the onslaught of coming heartache.
I revel in you.
And almost as quickly as you came,
suddenly the rumbling thunder purr of your voice is gone
and I stand alone..
Shared rain-tears glistening on my body and the biting cold
of your absence creeping into my bones.
Completely drained of all coherent thought.
The only word I comprehend is your name,
whispered in the receding winds and forever embedded in my heart..

Well if that is your appetizer I can not wait for the main course. This is superbly written, filled with passion, and does not lose it's sense of self within the words. Brilliant!
first of all, welcome to author's den--you're here among friends
your debut piece, "eye of the storm," is not a timid work--it roars like thunder
your opening lines, "you came/like a thunderstorm to my world/wild and chaotic..." was superb; it grabbed me, hook line and sinker, and i was rewarded with a vivid, dynamic write. *BRAVA* i'm keeping this beauty to my library!
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
