The Wind

I can hear the wind blowing
Making a lot of noise
It takes the leaves off the trees
They fall and have no choice.
It blows the sea into big waves
The clouds move very fast
It makes it difficult to walk
How long is it going to last?

I cannot see the wind at all
Where does it start and go
It blows and is so very strong
What makes it? I don't know.
Has it come a long way?
Will it now go far?
Maybe it came in the night
And travelled on a star

There are people far away
Very dear, I can’t see
I am going to ask this wind
To carry love from me
I shall send kisses on the wind
They can travel in the air
If that wind reaches them
Then a moment we shall share

So blow wind, but gently
In your arms my kisses bear
If one gets lost on the way
I have plenty left to spare.
Blow softly on her little cheek
Onto his short cropped hair
When you do, let them know
That I wish that I was there
