Maureen was so dear to me
She did her best that was plain to see
Always wiping away others tears
Neglecting her own needs for years

My sister through thick and thin
Sood by me when times were grim
We had a bond that was strong and true
That helped us when we were blue

She was a fighter for justice during her life
Unfortunately she had to endure a lot of strife
Despite the problems we had I shall always be glad
That we were sister and brother and we loved one another

She played games with my children
Even when she did not feel well
That was typical of her nature
She gave much more than others perceived

Her loss was such a blow
She was so wonderful to know
At least she now rest
Knowing she did her best

She loved to be near the sea
Where she felt free
She loved to make things from wood
Her talents were never fully understood

Maureen would haved loved the downs
And Tosca and Rocky too
We could have done lots together
If only her health had been better

I will always treasure the times we spent together
Regardless of the weather
She was a true star in everyway
I thank you dear Maureen for your love each day.
