So Strong is He

A poetic look at real men.

So strong is he that can support a family,
work relentless hours,
yet still come home to help.

To be able to carry the heavy things,
and yet able to carry a tiny crying baby.

So strong is he that when the going gets tough
he withstands it.
He carries on with life as if nothing is ever wrong.

He reads a book through calamity, so calm, so collected.

In the back yard you’ll find him playing with his children.
Acting the fool, but emitting his forte to all who see him.

So strong is he that can tenderly love a woman.
To gently caress her in his arms as if holding a butterfly,
but virile enough to prove his dominance.

Lovingly portraying what the woman secretly desires,
and man enough to take it to the enth degree.

So strong is a man who can show his emotions.
To shed a tear and ne’er be ashamed.

To know it does not show weakness,
but brute strength to show how you truly feel inside.

You have "captured" the essence of real men. He is tough and tender and beautiful to observe (better yet to call your own)

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!

Sunrise of Thought by Bruce Humphrey

Welcome! The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help. Beautif
