Very good point Franz. Mental prostituition, I always figured my writing was screwing me. Oh well, it's better than my old habit of drinking. I was really getting screwed by that alcohol. G

I certainly agree with you, Franz!
For years, because of well known writer's journals, I strove for
publication through this very kind of 'prostitution' (most apt word),
being a "public pleaser." Hardly a thing got published, though.
When I began writing for the sheer pleasure of expressing my emotions...not only did I get a great deal of my work published...but I came to have many peer friends to stimulate my mind.
Quality writers and poets...such as you.
