I once had a cat her name was Tiger
A lovely fellow, fluffy black hair
At homework she sat on my shoulder quiet
And purred at night, next to my ear
The priest at school said pets have no soul
Yet Tiger's eyes were full of it
Yellow-green shining, with love, gentle and sad
My only true friend in ugly school days
That's why one should always trust one's own observations and experiences even when clashing with so-called 'holy books'.

Many of my good friends in childhood were animals; and I never believed the priests about that soul business either. Animals are often more compassionate and understanding than humans.
