He~ When the cares of life rain down on you like a hurricane and it feels like a shelter is so very far My strong arms will be your safe harbor you can run to I want you to know, my heart is where you are She~ Often gale force winds bring destruction to the doorstep of my heart It seems like safe harbor's refuge fails me Standing in pouring rain of confusion and pain If I could choose a warm shelter from life's raging storms it would be your arms, My heart is where you are He~ If I could, I'd pluck a sunrise and sunset from the sky and carefully place each one in a jar as a symbol of my unwavering devotion Cause no matter day or night, my heart is where you are She~ Tenderness of your loving heart offered as my safe sanctuary I need no sunrise, sunset as devotion's proof Your words of love envelope my soul and anchor me serenely, securely to your love at home with you always for my heart is where you are He~ When this life leaves you burdened with grief and sorrow And death calls a loved one home When you need a shoulder to cry on, I'll cry with you No matter what we face, my heart is where you are She~ Though my shoulders are feminine soft and slender I will bear your sorrow within my soul offering a listening ear, caring touch I'll cry with you when you ache with grief because my heart is where you are He~ There was a time when I was like a singer without a song Just a vagabond wandering through life alone God sent an angel down from Heaven above to make my heart her home That's why I can say, my heart is where you are She~ Through all our time sojourning here lives intertwined I will touch your lips with honey wine Capturing them with soft smiles I will walk beside you in morning sun, twilight rain rest in your arms each dark midnight Every season, day and night You are my heart and my heart is where you are
