I once met a gorgeous woman that I desperately wanted to get to know. But because I couldn't give her certain material things, she lost interest in me. I wrote this poem after that experience. I never gave it to her. Perhaps I should have......smile
It's good you found in time. She would never be have appreciated the precious love you have to give. Be patient, when you find the right one, or she finds you, you'll value each other all the more!
Some people are incapable of feeling or appreciating to worth of true love! Perhaps their "love-truth priority genes" are missing! Great poem, you were the winner in this situation!
After all is said and done, these same people would trade it in a heartbeat for someone to love.
It gets to the point where people like this try and out-do theri friend. then they become rivals, and where do they end up? either alone or making friends with another materialistic individual, and the cycle continues
You have a valid lesson presented in poetic form -- so worth sharing. She is to be pitied ... she may one day find her riches ... but until she realizes the value of faithful love, she will have little of worth.

Marriage is a partnership. What would she offer in return? Good poem.
Excellent poem! Some people are raised in ways that harden their hearts, and it's very hard to change them until they get brought low by something. She will learn perhaps too late, that love is above all things priceless!
Well,,it is quite apparent to me that your love is worth more than she was. There will be somebody that will be willing to except you for the heart you have to offer. And I answered your question before I ever opened the page. ~SH~

She was a fool. Love, honor and devotion are the most priceless things a man can give a woman.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Excellent!

This is an extraordinary poem. Mail it to her...
Some people are shallow. Very good job in twisting emotions. ;)
Thanks...
