When you’ve had enough in your relationship and just want to give up, the brave seek out new interactions and find that special person who will listen and not judge, who will be there when you need them, who will find ways to surprise you without ever expecting anything in return. A true friend is worth their weight in gold. This is not about me, but was influenced from a Hallmark movie of the week....

I just want you near me, to be within my touch
I just need your magic, I need you oh so much.

Rejected by my so-called friends
pushed aside for now
yes those words do hurt me
how dare you know not how.

Looking for the neutral friend
the one that keeps on giving
never ever turns you down
makes you go on living.

I spiraled down to depths so low
despair my only friend
darkness clouds my every thought
I searched for the wrong end.

When all sides fail, and both side scream
there’s nothing left to do
except reach out for someone else
to bring my life anew.

I just want you near me, to be within my touch
I just need your magic, I need you oh so much.

I need this, and I need that
your words just drain my strength
I give you all I have to give
for pleasing you no length.

Sometimes want to be alone
and know that help is near
sometimes want things turned around
reverse what now is clear.

I am Thankful I'm alone. It's quiet, peaceful, and without need. This is a beautiful piece that speaks loudly of love's pressures...I can remember quite clearly, That need to be. God Bless !

Michael,
A beautiful poem and very well written.
A touch a sadness and depression to it
as well. I think we all poets have been
there in one form or another. Keep your chin up,
OR at least try to. Will keep you in my thoughts

This is a poem that everyone in life whether good, wicked, or evil can relate to. We all need someone in our lives and you have expressed it all so well.

Yes John sometimes we have no choice but to seek love elsewhere when there is no love at home or the love has gone too far apart to find a way back.Good capture and I am sure a lot of people feel the very same as the poem you offer.
