The Village Church is filled
With mourners by sorrow stilled,
For dear friends now departed,
A father and his daughter
For whom life had barely started.
Heartfelt words are spoken
By friends and family broken,
This tragedy has left
Such sadness and confusion,
Even strangers feel bereft.
For many lives were touched
Long before their own were crushed,
They were servants of our God
And their kindness and their love
Came from the Spirit up above.
Reflections catch the eye
Of movement up on high,
For above the Altar frolic
Two dancing Butterflies,
For the mourners’ it’s symbolic.
Smiles touch the lips of many
Melting saddened hearts so gently
Bringing peace to every breast,
Is this a sign from God
Of two souls at Heavenly Rest.
