From May to November he’s apt to be found, Climbing in trees or alone on the ground, An inch long beetle of green, black and gold Who traveled from Europe to the U.S. I’m told. Called “the fiery searcher” because of the way He is known to squirt acid to capture his prey. How rapid he chases the tent caterpillars. Even runs them up trees, The poor hungry fellow.

Yes, I have been doing the insect sketches to go with the poems or visa verse. If I ever got enough, I would kind of like to do a book of all insect poems. I have quite a few, but not enough yet for a book.
