To my Love

Poem Artwork

Still (Hours of Wolf)

The whole night was emptied
within the mists of dawn
in howls, still
with deep hints of night
in the distance of sleep.

We awaken in the embrace
unquenched, still
at the end of the forest
and are pervaded by the ultimate
deliverance.

The pack throbs, still
within the dream
of the clearing that surrenders
already
to the bite of a straying sun
upon nude skin.

We wander within the arrival
still
when the ground of myrtle is covered
by canopied clarities.

The air bleeds never assuaged crimsons
which we breathe still
once more
in pulpous nibbles
mouth to mouth.

Hours of wolf, ever untamed…

Upon them we’ll depart
you and I
still
by the night in crescent
within the wait
lurking in the mists -
those other mists
where howls become hints
of a moon replenished
by the illusive
stillness
of the waning day.

Within the "Hours of Wolf", the howls break out
and sing to the moon of our untamed love.

Thank you, minha Paixão, for dedicating
this subtly sensuous poem to me.

Joseph

your poetry is evolving or rather, is evolved ... the progression of imagery and motif, embellished by subtle emotional voicing, replenishes our hearts & souls with its conceptual astuteness ...

Treasured write as only you can do it combining love passion ecitement and just a hint of mystery into a poem that captivates the imagination.
Well done.

And may they last forever, Alexandra.

Alexandra,

It is wonderful to see you and your work again! This is such an emotive multilayered piece of sights, sounds and emotions. It is as bold and as soft as the painting you have placed with it, yet also abstract enough as well in wording to keep the reader moving along looking for more and want to know, see andd feel the more! I really do indeed love this one and the artwork!
