Soliloquy with Life

Wake up from dreams never clear of a dazzling glow of vision
flesh and blood included and a soul that knows it has just been gutted
to the beginning of the picture, once more.
Head leaves pillow to be lifted up toward sounds of another morning
and there is never hesitation in the reluctance to plant one foot
on the floor at a time, as thoughts head for coffee, resolve
and a much better day.
Let go of what has been the ritual that comes next, is the image
splashing cold water upon what lays beyond the mirror, like that sense
of someone standing behind you and almost smiling your smile while you
are tempted to smirk before turning away, repeating mantras of beauty
and upcoming blooms.
Tiptoed tenderness leads back to a warmth that always opens a door wide
to the contemplation of love rising in soft breaths and blending with love
that falls in tiny bubbles bursting in kisses upon touching the surface
of an endless depth.
Purpose does not run but designs river beds beyond a conceptual window
curiously framed in the real window that frames the space of sun or rain
and always, of other purposes filling the transparency of the glass.
More than any other, the design, so close you could dip yourself whole
in its flow, of a river that needs to follow toward the ocean.
A river that becomes manifest beyond the tangible skin of earth
and right before your hands grasping awareness as they reach for all the air
and all the light, and then threading its many textures like dandelions
interspersed with flecks of foam and as many hopes, to be worn
with a glee of renewal around the neck and between the breasts
or, when added of orange blossoms and some sculpted flights
of nesting songbirds, upon your perspective, like a crown.
Glory be to the only time that matters when matters choke
and time is cast like a winded zombie upon a life-support travesty of itself.
Glory be to waking up from dreams never clear of a dazzling glow of vision
flesh and blood included and a soul that knows it has just been gutted
to the beginning of the picture, once more.
Ready to paint the
undividedness of being alive with possible smears
but no fear at all.

Dreamy, gauzy beginnings once more, "but no fear at all."

A gift beyond compare, Alexandra, like the rest of your poetic cathedral, handmade, not even an eighth-inch error in these lines. Instead, thousands of notes of color illuminating, glowing, and interacting. It's what you're best at. It's like I am standing in the nave at OneLight Cathedral pressing leaves in the OneLight tableau, what lays behind the mirror. Blessed Be.

It is an amazing feat, how you have allowed the colors of your thoughts to bleed into one another in this vivid cascade of beauty
to form such a splendid poem!

Speechless this leaves me as I try to contemplate all the nuances and startling images of love and life that you have captured and embraced and passed on to the readers open arms. This is a sureal fantasy of emotional design and you as the light reflect your images throughout to enter our minds and hearts. Well done Alexandra.

An odyssey of pure light and honesty excels in this delightful poem
We should never be frightened of showing our true value and essence to this dark world, that is exactly what it needs in copious quanties, the light of love and compassion !
And we are not perturbed by the ignorant smears and taints of misguided fools !

Excellent! I know that feeling of dreams
that just aren't quite clear but you feel
as if there's an enlightenment of vision.
I like the idea of "possible smears of being
alive", that captures it so well. Beautiful!
