painting with japanese magnolia
if you are indeed floating occult designs within the hull of your petals
they are not meant for me, as you reach me simply purple
and magnolia.
painting detached from a garden in Kyoto
unequal, merely, in the restless dash from across the street
here, level with the eyes, you replicate
with serene pauses and concentric rings
of a grey that is not sad
the silence of water.
it is time to exhaust droplets, perchance web filaments
to suspend green touches, even tenuous
and to receive in pure white
the return of air.
all, in this fortuitous zen
of a window with no search of a sense
in the sky that your boughs genuinely arch
inwards, through the glass.

You have captured the pure essence of Zen:
to be in the moment with a quiet mind,
not seeking for any understanding ...
simply content to be a part of the picture.
And this poem is an open-arms welcome to spring!
Amo te muito,

I love Zen..and I love the Japanese artistry of Zen and Buddhism..:)
Mesmerizing preamble within the confines of nature's architecture

Beautiful imagery and feeling to this delicate poem; a hint of romance, mystery and intrigue, very well penned!
