Starkness
Does it scare you, the unstructured starkness
of fallen rain, the absence of tiptoed episodes
in solid proof of trail – the only formless presence
of instants sodden, with no other tinge but palpable
transparency to portray you upon them?
Does a reflection, merely of bareness under liquid
feeling, of slithered wraps and baroque folds shed
like stupor castaways, bring your palms crashing
slap into your vision – like the reversed parody
of a limpid window that someone slaps shut
into some bird’s flight?
But why would the audacity of pouring, clear
as water, all cursive skin and particles of breath
in permeable, permeating consummation, be
so daunting?
Ah, dare nature and love in barefaced outpour
– unashamed as rain that fell simply
as it was, because it could no longer suffer
being held in castles of painted clouds…

Your first 3 stanzas ask questions that are, at the same time, both simple and difficult. People seldom ask themselves these questions, either afraid to answer or afraid of what the answers might be. I applaud you for asking the questions and I appreciate the asnwer that you give in the final stanza. Many people say that this is what they've always been searching for yet most remain timid about going through that gate once they discover it there before them.
Thanks for having the courage to give and receive love as natural and free as the falling rain.

My dear friend - your creative mind arouses wonderment. The way you percieve, and paint your visions is splendiferous. The path that you have been given is difficult at times - I am convinced - but a wonderful blessing to travel on still the same.
Always, you are consistent in what you do. Your creations are akin to eating a wonderfully prepared meal and sipping a vintage wine. Brava! Your friend, admirer, and contemporary in SoCal.
Light and Wisdom ...
Nothing stark about this--beautifully imaged and penned; well done!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Marvelous, Alexandra!
