“XuxaKu”, pronounced “shoo-sha-coo”, is a new form of short-verse poetry created by Joseph Randell Sherman in 2007 – my beautiful love and partner in OneLight*®, to whom I dedicate this humble first attempt, with my heartfelt thanks.
This simple form consists of three unrhymed lines of 7-6-5 syllables respectively, and can be written on any theme.

Deeply ploughed by life, a face as fecund as the soil tended by his hands.
Meanwhile, dear ones, I have to say that I’m overwhelmed by your enthusiastic support, expressed through your comments on my previous poem/invitation/announcement. I’m privileged beyond measure, and you are simply… THE BEST! Thank you, everybody, and all my love to you all, with lots and lots of warm {{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}.

The purity and beauty of this piece is certainly enhanced by the "salt of the earth" face in the photo and the unique form in which it was written. This is a fine piece of work! You should be very proud of this!

Your first attempt at XuxaKu is one of perfection! My highest compliment to you ... wish I'd written this one! This poem is an observation made by a loving heart. I absolutely love it!
Wrinkles can tell stories of hearty laughs and painful sorrows and sometimes like this one, in this poem, the poetry wrinkles show the long toiled soil by the Muses.

As a farmers son and grandson, and great grandson this simple poem touched my heart and soul Alexandra for although I never followed the call to the land a part of me has always loved the farmers life. The picture also reflects so much of what the poem conveys as well.
