Passing revelations

(Dedicated, paradoxically, to one who believes and belongs…)

You wouldn’t believe it, and perhaps you wouldn’t want it
- this quietude that belongs to the birds and that possesses me
with the absolute, soft intimacy of moments of down and of slow wings.

You wouldn’t believe it, and perhaps you wouldn’t consider it
- this flight suspended between a wandering sun
and passing trills along one more day like a furrow.

You wouldn’t believe them, even if you sought them
- those seeds that have fed dreams, many dreams, ravenous
and open; and that, from the beak, fell upon and into many more
furrows, like days.

You wouldn’t find it, even if you believed it
- this orchard of many trees germinated
in the absolute, soft intimacy of moments like this;

Of a quietude in which, perhaps, you would never belong
- but that possesses me, like one more bird;

That I could, perhaps, reveal to you, revealing myself
in down and in slow wings…

… But you wouldn’t believe it.

Alexandra,

You paint a gorgeous picture with your words. Who wouldn't want to believe it or, even more so, become a part of it? Each and every stanza ties in so naturally with the others that the poem reads like a fine woven fabric with a golden thread that runs through the entire piece. Thank You for the dedication, Meu Amor.

In admiration,
Joseph

No, I wouldn't... because I have GREAT trouble with my perceptions of REALITY!!! Darlin, as you know, you speak to an avid convert in me whose life seems to turn and revolve around experiencing life and living in a parallel world, somehow. Your visual and feather-talk could almost be my signature tune. I totally adore how you articulate and define the inexpressible in ways in which we gain such delicate and luscious access. I always feel as though my soul has been feather-dusted when I visit your pages! Delightfully so! Another beautiful offering that goes more than skin-deep, Alexandra. Bless you always, Love Kate xx

I think I do believe it, Alexandra. Who would not, considering the way you express this. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,

Regis

And I, like a moder Tolouse Lautrec, sitting in a dark corner will enjoy contemplating at the passing revelations, which you wouldn't reveal to me but certainly are revealing to yourself...and so, I will paint it as I saw it all, after leaving the Moulin Rouge.

We each have our preconceived notions of what and what not to believe . . . This is so true . . . sometimes something can come looking for us, get in our face and we slap it away like you would an irritating insect . . . You have composed a plea for recognition . . . Understand that laughter may ensue by many, but hopeful that you may touch one enlightened soul . . . THAT will be your reward . . . Lovely . . .

As you unfold your wings to reveal this angelic story the reader and the intended subject emerge in a hazy softness that relaxes the soul and yea...I would believe it but then again I am a believer.
