Poem Artwork

Do you walk With your shadow...does it just follow you in
sunshine...but on a cloudy day, only to ripple out to sea
in waves, not to be.

From behind, a shadowy past it might cast, or perhaps
one just might call it insight...and continue on.

Shadows of remorse, the cast...cold the rain looking back,
seek the sun...feel its warmth.

Crossing shadows...friend or foe? fair the weather,
foes beware,...or rainy day, friends forever.

But when you don't see or feel your shadow near,
it is after all...what you portray...cast from within.

Never take your shadow where Angels Fear to Tread.

Deep are the shadows you so beautifully pen, seeking always the sun where your angels can illuminate the path before you. Wonderful, visual words. Lady Joy

Never take your shadow where Angels Fear to Tread.

This is fine advice, Vivian. Thank you for sharing it via your verses here. You meant to write "its" in the third stanza, "feel its warmth." I make typos all the time and appreciate it when people point them out so I can correct them. I do hope you'll do the same for me. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis
