Ponce de Leon looked high and low so long ago,
with heart ... forever to be, water for youth,
ever elusive... not to be discovered by him.
Whisper via the wind...Oh Raven, wise...from
your fountain's moonlight perch...do tell, the
truth...no search...merely a state of mind?

THE RAVEN THE MESSENGER VISITS TO THOSE TO BELIEVE. I CALL HIM THE WATCHER OF MEN. LOVELY AND KEEP GOING MY FRIEND..ANNA
Ravens have invaded our neighborhood. Seldom do we see mockingbirds with their beautiful singing anymore, chased away by the ravens. They bang on our roof, opening walnuts fed by our neighbor.
The ravens make noises more like talking then singing. One told me that Ponce de Leon Springs in Florida is the real thing. I swam in the spring many times. I'm over 70 and still have brown hair, a few grey hairs here and there to bring me back to reality.
Thank you Vivian, for shedding light on this, and for doing it so beautifully with your poetry. Perhaps you're the reason for my perpetual youth. Your poems make me young again. Bless you for that.
