Poem Artwork

Free blowin wind...hearing what it says...listening to peace,
opting out to being lonesome in a city of stagnant air...
and invading noises.

Sagebrush and me, not a house in sight...pan and coffee pot.
I am a proud Cowboy!

Smelling the morning on the desert in wide open spaces,
or by silvery moonlight with stars a winkin down at me.
I am Free!

My saddle my pillow, My horse my companion.
I am a proud Cowboy!

When I die, lead old paint out of his stall, tie my bones to my
saddle...and we'll ride West by way of the prairie we love best.

Gotta Love a Proud Cowboy!

Such free spiritedness Vivian, wrapped in sagebrush and leather!
Your cowboy has such complexities underneath a simple exterior of grit.

Christine

A sense of yearning here, Vivian,
and a Cole Porter resonance.

Ya, Ya, Ya.... It's nice to dream about, but I'm afraid my pillow and my remote control are both too comfortable fitting. Nice of you to stimulate my imagination though. Thanks Dick

This little piece evokes all those Western images we know so well. We city dwellers often get that "Don't fence me in" feeeling. Of course that wonderful one, two, three, four legged friend will never let you down as well. Vivian, you have got me thinking it's time I headed for the wide open spaces.

. . . and you know what they say about having proud . . .

Loved this idea, picture helped make it all real.

Uh, can I bring my computer? My CD's and player. Electric toothbrush, and maybe digital camera, and oh yeah, what about . . .
