The Mighty Mississippi River and Me

Wandering its banks, this picture I took to meditate upon. But so enamored, I began a conscious journey with this little tug boat using all it's might to push against the current with only the top of the barges visible...Oh! but to know of cargo they do carry beneath the surface always subject to what ever is running down river..the honorable tug boat captain ever aware..a sandbar could just appear to change his course. Realizing this Mighty river is in a hurry to reach it's destination in fluidity with heaven and earth... for the reality of it, a journey through life emerges in parallel. Concurrently flowing with its depth, or shallow only to wade amid the banks of least resistance...which course will it be for you and me? I say get wet...with towel in tow as needed, be Mighty and Resilient! Much like the river that flows ever so diligently, so can it be for our lives. Your imagination is obviously nourished by your surroundings. Place and person come beautifully together in your last five lines. An interesting piece.

Good analogy for life, the mighty river with its barely submerged sandbars and currents which strive mightily to stop the flow of the tug and its cargo, much like life throws bad currents into our lives. I enjoyed this poem.
