~Forces in Darkness~ 

Looking for love is all wrong
with a Manhattan state of
mind amongst tall buildings
where money is the order of
days for convoluted lifestyles

Do you lavish money for my
love? or will you relish love's
security from within my heart
to be your treasure chest?

So much pleasure money can
afford but for false collateral
rooted in downfall of one's soul

~Encircle My Light~

I to be your Wife...take me in
your arms, romance me with
kindness...make me your
center of attention

~Love to be the Foundation~

Letting unselfishness be the
order of the day for a life of
worthiness ultimately becoming 
our legacy of love's richness

A beautifully expressive poem of the difference between convoluted love for dollars and pure, true love whose only reward is that two people love just for the sake of a loving relationship... with no strings attatched! A fantastic offering, Vivian.

I am sure Vettriano would be flattered that you used one of his pictures as your inspiration. Your indictment of the crass, profit driven, "convoluted lifestyles" is very timely as is your call for a more unselfish, enriching approach to life and love.

Ah, it is the unselfishness that tends to be the elusive ingredient in the pot of love's stew. I tend to agree also that money for money;s sake is also a destroyer of inner self, and not something that can purchase love. Flesh, yes. Love? No..
