Snow cascading for my vivid imagination,
sending me into dreams of another time
Snow flakes are painting masterpieces,
designing horses of gentle demeanor
for the Appaloosa's fame and fortune

Once they were of the hunt when America
was young, and the buffalo were many,
as Native Americans commissioned their
painted backs to ride upon

Times have changed for America the Majestic,
and the land we still ride upon, but mighty
Appaloosa hoof prints still enlist my lively
heart beats

Pride in your stride, from the prairie to the
sea. You're such a Noble being... Oh! as
America for me, Appaloosa you have my Heart
for us to run free

beloved of American horse breeds
Appaloosas are prized for their easy-going dispositions
and their reliability as family horses.~

I really like your "pride in your stride" phrase, it captures the characteristics of this breed perfectly. We are beholden to Native Americans like the Nez Perce for this wonderful legacy.

Yes, indeed, Vivian, the proud and the . . well, I almost said free, but these magnificent horses are fed better than they could be fed on an open range. Water is always there for them. Never mind the doctor visits to keep them healthy. So I shall temper my original words as, Yes, indeed, Vivian, the proud and the happy.
