Looming is the darkness
blowing up a silky wind
solitary in my thoughts of You
I come here a alone
will a storm brew
the rain to wash me clean
of our laden forbidden love
The moon can separate
the clouds from the stars
and control the tides
what can I do
Wallow in the shallow
or swim in the deep end
what will give our love
a life preserver to save
us from drowning
Blackbirds singing in tune
May and June
a love song, just perhaps
a happy ending
before the winter is nigh
and their out of tune

They slept until the black raven,
the blithe hearted
proclaimed the joy of heaven

Be careful of Irish proverbs, they are silver tongued devils, those Irish! "Is fearr Gaeilge bhriste ná Béarla cliste" they say "It is better to have broken Gaelic than fluent English".
Blessings,
Christine
so so lyrical and with your gentle
special touch, Vivian.

you tread, beware
rapids forming gentle
but raging into tumultuous
and deep whirlpools . . .
~Irish Proverb Quote~
"There'll be white blackbirds before
an unwilling woman ties the knot"
I spied upon my return
a most strange sight indeed
an albino blackbird . . .
