The endless looks you took
into my soul
my heart held captive from
every embrace
when a clear sky was available through your eyes
But then I turned around,
drove my car out of sight, so
heavy the tears on that very
clouded day, you sent me away
Where did you go, when the
wolves cry out, come back
my spirit still longs...never the moon rightly to silence
Will I take my last breath never
to see your face again,
your brogish, manly voice of another charming place
Just saying your name forming
on my lips, my kisses
dried and forlorn, I lie in the shadows
The clouds are gathering....

This is full of vivid imagery and very powerfully stated. The Bard said "Parting is such sweet sorrow" but in this case it was goodbye not goodnight and there was no tomorrow. A thousand times the worse, to want thy light.

Whew! Those light colors you put on some of your poems. I don't know, I just don't think a reader should have to highlight the poem to read it, and so I didn't. What in the world is wrong with black?
Such heartfelt passion in this one! I know so well, the love of a lost one. Trusting in the Universe to know what is best, one much seek refuge in living in the moment. Do not dwell on what was, only embrace what is...
