I like that new, to me, ideophonic use of "ouched with thorns. We need more word play like this. It is too easy to relax into the standard, easy read, approach to writing. The dreams being punctuated by pillow talk is such a pleasant image too. Good work.

Another gem. "...enabling growth / petals a time" ... such a delicate form of growth, so fragrant and beautiful... this is an image I will long cherish and remember ... it is one of your best lines of all-time! ....
