Inside the serenity of the courtyard
walls no pretense echoing remnants
meant for aesthetics of life now only
vacant chairs from young lovers seeking
the neon lights remain
Mystic adventure riding the famous
City of Orleans perhaps conjures up
memory while famous blues play on
Bourbon Street where the ghost of
Pete Fountain can be felt on trumpet
Some would say a city now in decay
Y'at no mercy from the elements to
bring it back for all it's diverse
mysteries so rich of American Heritage
we cannot afford to lose

Trumpet players to hear along with a Jazz band. Jazzy and crisp
the tunes resonate. A wonderful heritage. Enjoyed the city of
life and heart in your poetry.
