Nightfall reigning in a crescentthus the sun has fallen to sleepfrom an array of left over moods
begging who will lasso the moon
The lion being empathetic of
my hunting while the dog stars
just look on with their lament
I begin tucking my arms under
my head stiff and curled while
viewing the Dippers relaxed
with size opposition yet admiring the Archer ever ready for battle
Yesterday's tears now undamed
beginning to flood my tomorrows
undertaking Leo asking for courage
I fall asleep not knowing
Just as the sun becomes over
whelming letting the light sear
my tears regaining my momentum
in the anticipation of yet to come
I realize I have become the lasso

A well wrought piece. The idea of left over moods really captures that night time reflection just before we drift off. The stargazing section is very well thought out and the gathering of momentum for the new day neatly closes the circle.

already had asked the question of yourself
and are modest and mature enough to admit
there may be many ways of seeing..yes, the heavens
are vast and intricate
Your lasso has pulled in many visions here. I especially like the reference to the constellations, so often little seen in our citified life. The stars and constellations were much more important in earlier, more rural, times.
