hah! this desiderata skips trippingly off the tongue.... love the free association form that couples "circumstances" with "gains" at a subliminal level... and oh so apt rejoinder to close with, as the "company" we keep has great bearing on our bearing (in more sense than one, of course)... you've once again moved mountains with a modicum of restraint... (one wonders at the torrent that might flood us with the fantastic were you not always so restrained... indeed.)
