When the moment arises
When the moment arises, things change. Familiar things become different, when the moment arises. The Moment. The momentous moment is monumental. Like a monument it stands displacing all else. It strikes the sense, paralyzing the mind and fixing time to a spot. Time stands still and gazes, focused as a falcon. I, almost a prey, under the spotlight, Unable to carry my part through, wait for cues I find not. Transfixed, baffled, and struggling, wait in vain for the audience to clap.
