The whole night long, till the end, till I could find,
Your thoughts; those moments kept coming, kept following each other.
I growing conscious of how I was missing you;
How alone I was, the meeting was only in the mind;
Never would I find that touch, or any kind of connection.
It was after all over. We would never bind. The we feeling had gone down the wind,
What remained was the truth, the naked truth,
Only the moonlight was left to remind me of you.
That scent that followed you was still a trail leading me on
To where we would be; quite blind to the world.
