The lover in search for his goddess-like mistress

It was full moon last night and you were in discussion the whole night long.

Some said, it was the moon itself, some said it was your face that shone.

It was full moon last night and you were in discussion the whole night long.

Some said, it was the moon itself, some said it was your face that shone.

I too was there, part of the fair, I too was asked who was it there?

I just kept mum, giggling not glum, I knew you were veiled not bare.

It was full moon last night and you were in discussion the whole night long.

Some said, it was the moon itself, some said it was your face that shone.

Who should I meet now in this town, I have left people, am all alone.

Each one keeps on chanting your name; each one crazy of you has grown.

It was full moon last night and you were in discussion the whole night long.

Some said, it was the moon itself, some said it was your face that shone.

I could give up your neighbourhood; even become a hermit but

Yours are the woods, yours are the hills, yours is the home yours is the hut.

It was full moon last night and you were in discussion the whole night long.

Some said, it was the moon itself, some said it was your face that shone.

O heartless one, come and have fun; harken to songs he with words has spun.

Your poet he is, dishonoured he is; he is your Insha, your one and only one.

It was full moon last night and you were in discussion the whole night long.

Some said, it was the moon itself, some said it was your face that shone.

Interesting poetic tune about the other sphere in the sky, our moon.

May you have much peace, love and abundant blessings,
