Celebrations are what we want but may not always succeed in getting
Celebrations The world is full of celebration; celebration is what we all do want. Chance left to act everything falls into a celebration mode; young or old, Living in regions hot or cold, the soul wants to go into celebrations bold. But. There’s a but here. There are those who celebrations taunt. Desire to dance may not lead to dance. Spirits could be low by deed or chance. Nothing may excite, nothing we may want; even a trip to Switzerland or France May make the subject hate his life, unmoved by his friends or generous aunt. Celebrations, festivals and carnivals are for those whose souls can show up like Dolphins above grievous seas, hop out for moments; over mountains hitch-hike. Celebrations are what we want; to forget what is our lot; what is not to flaunt.

To be honest, this poem does not rise up to your standards. It's a bit choppy, disconnected, and does not leave me with a sense of wonder or awe or any other emotion. I think you rushed it. A little polish, a little pzazz, and you're back in the game.

I think that celebrations were created by the priests and despots to rally the poor people to their cause by holding out minuscule offerings of pleasure.

I read somewhere that it the Hindu religion has the most celebrations. I don't know if it's true, but the United States, regardless of its separation of church and state, has embraced several religious holidays for us to celebrate.
