 For Eternity (A Song)

 

I wish to bring to you a life of hopes and dreams

I want to give to you chocolates and ice creams.

Just promise me that you’ll be there only for me.

And I will be your own for eternity. For, for, eternity.

 

When you leave me I have no promises to keep.

I’m left alone, walking in pathways that are steep.

Stay on with me and I will swim across the sea.

And I will be your own for eternity. For, for, eternity.

 

I crave for a home that’s warm and that is calm.

Where there’s love and we are far away from harm.

Please build my little nest, and do make it cozy.

And I will be your own for eternity. For, for, eternity.

A very pleasant and wonderful refrain. Unfortunately, for most it's an ideal rather than a reality. I guess at why there's so much divorce. We tend to promise fidelity and then not practice it.
