Weddings
Weddings bring out people in their best clothes;
The marigold steps out and out comes the rose.
Music plays soulfully and transforms the very air.
Little bulbs glitter colourfully, changing everything there.
The father of the bride virtually sells himself this day.
Others hardly feel his woes; they come in the mood of play.
The best sweets and foods are served and so are the best drinks.
It is the day for merrymaking; for yellows and reds and pinks.
Wedding-days begin marriages, marriages that should last.
The couple needs the blessings which will keep away the blast.
Effort will be needed to keep the bonding going;
It takes just a few minutes for everything’s undoing.
