YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT
If you are what you eat, then I’m a full-fat treat
I’ve got sugar nigh on running through my veins
When it comes to food delights and all delicious bites
My appetite for these joys never wanes
Be it chocolate, or a pud or any luscious food
I’m at the front and holding out my plate
When the first course is done, I’m quickly onto the next one
There’s so much on the menu to appreciate
I’ve bad habits that is plain, I’d eat dessert before my main
I’ve a penchant for the finer things in life
Pile it all up on my plate because I really cannot wait
And I know it’s wrong but I even lick my knife
It’s not surprising to be known, for piling on a stone
When food tempts me and starts getting out of hand
And if I’m not real careful, I’ll be awful fearful
Of ending up with a gastric band
So you are what you eat and what I eat is sweet
What does that actually say about me really?
That I’m weak-willed and I’m hapless, and all dieting is hopeless
And I’d love it if I had hollow legs ideally
There’s no point to admonish, for the dishes I demolish
Of a spread, I’ll wolf down every yummy bite
I’m a piggy, I admit, no need to be a hypocrite
I'm SO not ashamed of my unhealthy appetite
