Not there at the birth of his son
the boy is a man now and still he's not around
I had to go to all the games
and PTA meetings
I bandaged all the cuts and scrapes
I rushed to the hospital in the wee hours
I shed the tears of joy for graduation day
I suffered the pains of loss to the Texas  Penal System
I gave Loans for cars and driving tickets fee
But, I also kissed his sweet face
and received many warm, fuzzy hugs
nothing can compare to the love
shown in his big brown eyes
You chose to miss all of this
by leaving me with your baby
So.....Happy fathers day to me
