That God of all became a man
Seems scientific babble.
But by the Maker's mighty hand
Is anything unable?
That Child was born at Virgin's cost,
Conceived by Spirit's might,
Sings songs of myth and legend lost
In mists of ancient night.
But should Almighty God reach down,
To such a poor man's mind,
Then helpless Babe He must become
And one with all mankind.
If God considered logic small
And human schemes so grand
Such things He would not do at all
As done by Mighty Hand.
In cosmos center beats the heart
Of Maker dark concealed
Now one with humankind apart,
In wondrous love revealed.
