I have a name! Tho I exist beyond this world, I still see the Police walking about, white gloves, yellow ribbon, blood in my hair, putting evidence in bags. My skirt is torn...face is bruised please don't let my parents see me like this!!! I just had my " Sweet 16th Party "--took the old path to my house....a strong hand on my mouth and body....I kicked and fought back...I was raped...knocked unconscious looks like he ...strangled me..I don't want to be dead. I've just fallen in Love I have a date tonight...Church on Sunday Test on Monday....I'm only 16. Will no one pray for the Police to find this Monster?????I know who killed me!!!! Am I just a big write up in the paper and a month...a year later forgotten? Will someone hold my Mom and Dad????? What happens to me now? I was full of life...will someone take my Poetry and put it in a book so that the world will hear my voice? They buried my body on the hill overlooking the town ....I was ready to be Loved and life was like an Undiscovered country with treasures that now I will never see.......

There is so much sadness in this truth. another victim, another statistic, another senseless death. One would hope to find such a monster so that it cannot happen to another person. My prayers to her family and friends such a tragedy!

Being witness to my mother's beating & rape by her brother-in-law, and then a couple months later her murder takes me deeper emotionally into "Will You Rememebr me?" But my mother was 30 years old-still very youthful, but 16 is such a tender tender youth taken by the filthy hands of disgust & the work of the enemy...you captured the effect powerfully too

Your poem is also in truth as how we may encounter our physical self after our death, we can peer overhead our bodies, and see everything! I watch a wonderful documentary where they contacted people all across the globe who had Near Death Experiences or After Life experiences. They all are saying the same thing, there is a God call it what you want but there is Higher Power that is of the most amazing unexpalinable love. One person who didn't believe in God at all came back with new vision of faith & belief. It's fascinating too how science is finally having harmony with the spiritual realms of God & the presence of our souls as a reality. There are physical manifestations or molecular structural changes that occur through devotional prayer, being grateful, thankfulness, laughter, and even being rude, hostile, and giving anger that science is able to see under their microscopes!! (water)
